Tranquility

There are no big box stores in Warrenton, there are no loud sirens and there is little to no crime. This is the essence of small town living where everyone in town enjoys peace and quiet. On one side of the town is Young’s Bay where on the other side is the larger town of Astoria, on the other side is the Pacific Ocean where everyone enjoys the beautiful and peaceful scenery along with the ocean waves. This is the type of tranquility that most people do not find. It is the type of quiet that is often hidden away and takes a bit of effort to find. Between the ocean shores and the beaches of Young’s Bay lies a place where you will enjoy the tranquility that most people only dream about.

Location, Location, Location

While everyone in Warrenton enjoys living in peace and quiet, that does not mean that they only want peace and quiet. Sometimes, everyone wants to check out the big city lights, the hustle and bustle of the city and everything it has to offer including events, things to do, events to enjoy and various events to experience. Warrenton is just under 2 hours away from Portland, one of the larger cities in Oregon. Here, you will find all types of things to do including arts and entertainment. Attractions

High Life Adventures is a zip line adventure on 30 acres with a 7-acre lake that brings out the pristine views of the zip line park. Here, families, church groups, corporate groups and individuals can enjoy the thrill of the various zip lines. The owners of the property grew up in nearby Astoria and have built their home in the park so the park is much more than just a business to them, it is a way of life, something they enjoy and they want to share with others. Climate

The climate in coastal, northwestern Oregon is known as “Cool-summer Mediterranean climate.” It is rare that the area sees snow during the winter but there is no blistering heat in the summer. The temperatures typically range from upper 20s in the winter months to low 70s in the summer. It is very uncommon for the summer temperature to reach 75 making it a dry but comfortable temperature. The comfortable climate during the summer months attracts many tourists every summer; bringing revenue and visitors to the entire area.

Education

The Warrenton-Hammond School District is truly a one-of-a-kind educational system that creates more than just academics for their students. The high school, in particular, typically sees enrollment of less than 400 students total making the class sizes small and the ability to have small class sizes and more individual attention for each student. Aside from the small class sizes, the school also offers the first of its kind fisheries program allowing students to learn about one of the top careers in the area while they are still in high school.
