Warrenton

Warrenton sits just south of the Columbia River and minutes from the Pacific Ocean, making it a gateway between river, forest, and sea. It’s part of Clatsop County, sharing the region with the historic port town of Astoria.

Fort Stevens State Park, one of Oregon’s most visited parks, is located in Warrenton.

It’s the only U.S. military installation to be fired upon by an enemy during WWII (a Japanese submarine in 1942).

The park is also home to the famous Peter Iredale shipwreck, visible from the beach.

Nearby Camp Rilea is one of the largest National Guard training facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

Warrenton offers quick access to: Ocean beaches, State parks, hiking trails, fishing, clamming, and crabbing

Residents often enjoy a quieter lifestyle compared to larger coastal cities, while still being close to amenities.
